    The Gen 2 Wall Connector's maximum charging current can be set during installation to match a properly sized circuit. The units in our current stock support 277V single-phase input, which can be useful in compatible commercial electrical systems.

    • Up to 80A on a suitable 100A circuit.
    • Lower output settings for appropriately sized smaller circuits.
    • Suitable for compatible 208V, 240V and 277V installations, subject to the unit's rating and wiring.

    277V on a 480Y/277V system is phase-to-neutral, not 480V line-to-line. A qualified installer must confirm the unit nameplate and electrical requirements.

    Will every Tesla charge at 80 amps?

    No. The Gen 2 Wall Connector can supply up to 80A when properly configured, but the vehicle's onboard AC charger and the circuit settings determine the actual rate. At 240V and 80A, the maximum is 19.2 kW.

    Can I use a lower-amperage circuit?

    Yes, if the existing or planned circuit is suitable and the installer configures the Wall Connector to the appropriate lower current. Never raise the setting beyond the circuit's electrical rating.

    Can I install several Gen 2 units together?

    Yes. Up to four compatible Gen 2 Wall Connectors support wired group power sharing. The installer configures the leader/followers and the group current limit.

    What is the difference between 8.5 feet and 24 feet?

    The cable reach. Choose 8.5 feet when the car parks near the charger, or 24 feet when you need more flexibility. Choose your variant in the product selector above.
